Find Inspiration in The World Around You
Here are some photos I have taken with some quotes that I like. All the photos were taken by me and the quotes I have read somewhere at one point.
I also like the quote “The greatest journeys in life begin with the smallest steps.” This can be used for many circumstances, but I think it can be related to swimming. As a child it seems so scary to learn how to swim and we are scared that we will drown even if someone is there to catch us. But we take it one step at a time (or one doggie paddle at a time?) and soon we can swim in the deep end with no problem. It is always difficult to start something, but once we take that first small step, it can lead us to an amazing place.
I already shared this snail picture before, but thought it looked good with this quote. You can see more snail photos here.
All these animals aren’t just sitting there. Looks like they are wearing little yellow shoes 🙂
I am always taking pictures of nature so stay tuned for more to come!

Those are amazing pictures! You are very talented. I especially love the one of the snail. 🙂

Thank you so much!!
Beautiful photos all around. I particularly love the snail shot – so clear and crisp – and the splashing water. Did you do that with a long zoom, or do you have a water sealed case? How did you keep your camera safe?
Thank you! I have a waterproof camera I use for those shots. I have seen waterproof cases, but never wanted to take a chance in case they didn’t work well, so I just bought a separate camera.
Aha, good idea. I was wondering, since from the angle it definitely looks like you were up pretty close. So, can you use your waterproof without worrying about it at all, or are you still nervous about it? Have you tried actual underwater/submerged shots?
Yes, I don’t have to worry about it. I have taken many pictures fully underwater, it can survive up to 7ft I think. When I first bought it I was scared about using it in the water, but I’ve had it for 2 years or so and it hasn’t become damaged yet. I love it, but it only gets much use in the summer (even though I could probably use it more often living in Florida lol).
Wow, OK. I am not sure I’d be brave enough, but I can only imagine the fun of underwater shooting… so of course I have to ask – what kind of camera is your waterproof one?
It’s a Canon Powershot D10. I bought it at the end of 2009 so I am sure there have been many newer versions since then.
